Captured German submarine U1023 entering West Dock on 15/06/1945.

Commissioned in 1944 she took part in only one patrol starting March 1945 and engaged with only 2 allied ships before surrendering in Weymouth at the end of WWll.

After this she was paraded around ports and visited by thousands of people before meeting the fate of 116 U-boats of being scuttled in Operation Deadlight
