A refrigerated cargo ship built to carry fruit.
The reason to include this is to highlight the work of the family of photographers named Hansen. Starting with Lars Peter Hansen in around 1890 and carried on by his son and grandson until 1979. From premises in Bute Street and Bute Place, they took portraits of people but are perhaps best known latterly for "portraits" of shipping like this one.
A collection of their negatives is held by the National Museum Wales.
