Built as Empire Cranmer in 1941 and sailed in a number on convoys during WWll until 1942 when she was transferred to the Greek Government who renamed her Thraki.
She continued with convoy work until the end of the war, after which she was sold and renamed Arietta. Under this name she sailed until 1960 when she ran aground and declared a loss.
General Cargo Ship owned at this time by William Reardon Smith & Sons. One of 4 vessels of this name operated at different times by them.
This one was built in 1943 and purchased in 1948 before being sold on. Eventually scrapped in 1965
