Biographical details, origin and early life in Liberia, came to Cardiff in 1943/44; worked on American ship; galley boy in World War II; RAF; racial discrimination at sea, changing attitutes after war; no jobs for blacks in town; Redevelopment of arae, people didn't want to move because they felt secure; no longer Butetown after flats were built; Tiger Bay tales heard from others, wanted to see himself; tells Tiger Bay tales and memories, origin of name Tiger Bay, white people afraid to go; The Colonial Centre; Captain Mozart and reception of Lord Mayor of Cardiff; on crew on ships, Kru/Kroo Fraternity; amalgamation with 'Sons of Africa'; Colonial Defence Association, names of people connected; St Clair Drake contacts; issues of African independence and the role played by local people.
