Sailing Ships in the Inner Sea Lock of Canal.
Picture in Rowson and Wrights History p 302 which says
"Just inside the basin, the Elizabeth Ann of Bridgewater is unloading into the Eleanor Street stores. Built in 1853 this West Country trading ketch had been lengthened in 1866.
The Alma Hotel and the Torbay Hotel on opposite corners of Margaret Street and Eleanor Place are visible and at the far end on Margaret Street are the sheds of the Mount Stuart Dry Docks.
Sixty years earlier this are was the site of coal wharves for all the major colliery proprietors who shipped from Cardiff"
